Gmail
You can connect your Gmail account with uContact to receive, reply to, and create interactions! Below is a brief explanation of the procedure to create and configure a new Gmail connector in uContact.
Before you start!
Before beginning the configuration, you’ll need some information required by uContact to integrate with the provider. Here’s a list of what you’ll need.
Required Information
- Gmail Account: Email address of the account.
- Account Access: You will need access to the account to grant permissions.
How to configure the provider in uContact?
- Go to the Connectors tab and click the "New" button.
- In the modal, enter a name for the connector, select the channel, and choose the desired provider. In this case, the channel will be Email and the provider will be Gmail.
- After selecting the channel and provider, a new configuration tab will appear where you need to fill in the requested information.
Configuration
- Account: Gmail account email address.
- Sender Name: The name the customer will see when receiving emails.
- Interactions per Second: The maximum number of emails that can be sent per second, with a default of 1000.
- Receive Emails: If enabled, all incoming emails will enter the channel’s queue. If there are unread emails at the time of configuration, they will also be added to the queue.
Finally, click the Save button, and a new window will open automatically.
In this new window, sign in to the provided Gmail account and accept the required permissions.
- Once completed, you will see a success message if the configuration was successful, or an error message indicating why the Gmail account could not connect to uContact.
How to monitor the connector's status?
You can check the connector’s status in real time. Go to the Connectors tab in the Administration Menu, where you’ll see a list of all created connectors. In the Status column, the current status of each provider will be displayed.
