Messenger
uContact integrates with Messenger so you can communicate with your customers through Messenger channels. Setting it up is easy and requires just a simple configuration.
Before you start!
Before beginning the setup, you'll need certain information that uContact requires to establish the integration with the provider. Below is the necessary information.
Required Information
- Facebook Account Access: You will need the credentials for your Facebook account to log in and accept the necessary permissions.
How to create your Messenger account?
If you don't have a Messenger account yet, we show you how to create and configure it to link it with uContact in the following guide.
How to configure the provider in uContact?
- First, go to the Administration Menu and access the Connectors section. Then, within the screen, click the New button located in the upper right corner.
- In this modal, you need to select the Messenger channel and the provider will be automatically selected.
Then, click the Connect with Facebook button.
- A new window will open where you'll need to log in to the Facebook account you want to link with your credentials.
- In this step, you need to select the page you want to link to be able to receive and send messages. Then, click Continue.
- Now you need to select the business from your Facebook account that will be used to perform the linking.
- In this last configuration step in your Facebook account, you'll see a summary of the configuration you selected. Verify if the information is correct, and if so, click Save.
- If the configuration is correct, a message will display indicating that the account was successfully linked with uContact. If not, you can try verifying the information entered and perform the configuration process again. Then, click Continue.
- Now, you need to select again the page you want to link with uContact. Then, click Continue.
- Done! In this final step, you'll see the result of the integration. If it was successful, you'll see a message similar to the following.
If the integration fails, you can try performing the process again. If it fails again, we suggest taking a screenshot of the error message and contacting our Support team to verify the issue and resolve it.
How to monitor the connector's status?
You can check the connector's status in real time. To do this, go to the Connectors section in the Administration Menu, where you'll see a list of all created connectors. In the Status column, the corresponding status for each connector will be displayed.
