Holidays
Holidays allow you to configure special days and times when your business will not operate regularly, such as national holidays, festive days, or scheduled closures.
How to create a holiday?
Below we show you the step-by-step process to create holidays in uContact.
- Access the Campaigns section within the Administrator Menu and then click on Holidays.
- Click the New button located in the upper right corner. A form will open where you must complete the holiday information.
Form fields
- Name: Name that identifies the holiday. Example: "Christmas", "New Year", "Independence Day", "Scheduled maintenance".
- Date: Date on which the holiday will take place. Select the corresponding day, month and year.
- Start time: Time when the holiday begins. You can configure from 00:00 if it applies all day.
- End time: Time when the holiday ends. You can configure up to 23:59 if it applies all day.
- Campaigns: Select the campaigns that will be affected by this holiday. You can select one or multiple campaigns. Only the selected campaigns will stop operating during this period.
Automatic responses
During the holiday, you can configure automatic messages to inform customers:
- Message template: Template that will be automatically sent to customers who communicate via text channels (SMS, WhatsApp, WebChat, Instagram, Messenger) during the holiday. Example: "Thank you for contacting us. Our business hours are closed for {holiday name}. We will return to service on {date}."
- Email template: Email template that will be automatically sent to customers who write via this channel during the holiday.
- Audio: Audio that will play when a customer calls by phone during the holiday. Example: "We inform you that our business hours are closed due to Christmas..."
- Recurring: If you enable this option, the holiday will automatically apply every year on the same date and time. Ideal for national holidays and annual festivities. If not enabled, the holiday will only apply once on the specified date.
- Click Save to create the holiday.
