Create or edit an event

The Event dialog opens when you create a new event or edit an existing one, whether you started from the main calendar or from a contact’s calendar tab.

Event fields

  • Description: details of the event (multi-line text).
  • Category: choose a category from the list.
  • Start date and End date: define the event period.
  • Is it a timed event?: enable this option when the event includes specific times (not only whole days).

Actions

  • Save: stores the event and closes the dialog.
  • Cancel: closes without saving changes.

Tips

  • If you opened the dialog from a contact’s Calendar tab, the event stays associated with that contact after you save.
  • If you opened it from the main Calendar, the event is a generic entry on the shared calendar.
