Create or edit an event
The Event dialog opens when you create a new event or edit an existing one, whether you started from the main calendar or from a contact’s calendar tab.
Event fields
- Description: details of the event (multi-line text).
- Category: choose a category from the list.
- Start date and End date: define the event period.
- Is it a timed event?: enable this option when the event includes specific times (not only whole days).
Actions
- Save: stores the event and closes the dialog.
- Cancel: closes without saving changes.
Tips
- If you opened the dialog from a contact’s Calendar tab, the event stays associated with that contact after you save.
- If you opened it from the main Calendar, the event is a generic entry on the shared calendar.
