Email styles

When composing an email from the Inbox, you can apply different formats to make your messages look more polished and professional.

To apply text formatting, first select the text you want to format and then choose the desired option from the toolbar.

Tip

You can apply formats faster with keyboard shortcuts. For example, Ctrl + B for bold, Ctrl + I for italic, and Ctrl + U for underline.

Text formatting

These options modify the appearance of the selected text:

  • Bold: makes the text thicker to emphasize important words or phrases.
  • Italic: tilts the text, useful for specific terms or titles.
  • Underline: adds a line below the text to highlight relevant information.
  • Strikethrough: draws a line through the text, indicating it has been removed or is no longer current.
  • Highlight: applies a colored background to the text to draw attention to key parts.
  • Bullet list: organizes items in a list with dots, ideal for information with no specific order.
  • Ordered list: organizes items in a numbered list, ideal for steps or sequences.
